The 20 Best Songs to Come out of Scotland
Whilst I’m sitting here in self-isolation with all my travel plans around Scotland for this month postponed temporarily, I’ve been using the time to think about the greatest Scottish songs of all time! I figured since I never get the time to make up a playlist these days I might as well use the boredom of being stuck in the house to make up one for both myself and you should you want to play it! So below I’ve compiled a list of the best songs produced by Scottish bands or musicians in recent decades give or take the odd oldie. I’ve also limited myself to just one song per artist. These are some of my favourite Scottish artists, so for some of them it was hard not to include several songs! If you can think of any I’ve missed out or you disagree in anyway with what I’ve included – let me know in the comments section below or on social media. I’m always up for a debate on music! 🙂

Thanks! And making a playlist for every trip sounds like a great idea! 🙂
Be Good to Yourself by Frankie Miller is one of my favourites
Great suggestion!
What about Garbage? I thought they were Scottish, but now I’m second guessing myself
Good shout! I didn’t actually realise Garbage were Scottish as I thought they were American but it turns out the singer is Scottish! 🙂
